Position on copyrighted materials
Obesity news reserves all rights to both public and private materials on this site. However, we allow other to use information from our site in the following ways.
- If the information is not password protected, you may link it to your web site or for any non-commercial purpose without prior permission. However, if you are linking our pages we would like to hear from you.
- If you would like to pass out hard-copy information from the free site to patients or friends you may do so provided you print the pages from the Obesity-news site exactly as they appear and do not alter them.
- If you would like to produce a patient brochure usingpublicly accessible materials, you may do so providing you also publish our name, mailing address, telephone numbers, e-mail address and URL. There are no exceptions to this policy. This is what the words "republication with full credit" mean.
- Subscribers wishing to publish non-commercial brochures or documents using password protected articles or information contained in our hard-copy newsletters must request permission first. All decisions on republication are made on an individual basis.
- Obesity-news materials may not be used for profit-making enterprises, such as proposals and advertisements.
- Obesity-news password protected materials may not be republished on another web site. Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of the subscription without refund, and possibly legal action.
- If you are a subscriber, your subscription entitles you to one copy. Login and passwords are for the use of the subscriber only and may not be shared or transferred.
- If you have a library subscription, you may carry one copy on a computer of your choosing in the library where patrons or employees may read the information.
Policy on others' copyrighted materials.
- If you are a provider of copyrighted materials, this is our policy on linking information to our site. If your information is freely accessible on the web and it is relevant to the subject of obesity research and medications, we will consider linking it. If you have information that you wish us to link please write us.
- Obesity-news respects all premium copyrighted materials, and will not copy or link paid materials absent a licensing agreement with the provider.
- If you do not wish others to link or republish your materials, and it is stated plainly on your site, Obesity-news will not link them without your permission. If our site has linked you, and you do not want us to carry your materials, please write us and the information will be removed.
- Obesity-news makes every effort to respect the rights and wishes of other content providers.
